Love it. Even Floyd's most ardent supporters admit that he has chosen yet another pointless matchup.

 

Even if Maidana fought great again, the judges would not score it for him. Two judges had Mayweather up 3-1 after 4 rounds.

I hope the fight is just like the first....... But more likely Floyd uses his legs and they will do much higher PPV numbers for a disappointing UD.......

Having said that, Maidana fought an almost perfect fight. I do believe if ever there were a fight where Floyd should have gotten out of third gear and went for the ko around round 9 when Maidana was a bit spent, that was it.

But his bank account will tell a much different story after September and so will Maidana's for that matter.......

If this rematch comes off it will be a waste of time. PBF will beat him 10-2 or worse this time. I think the cut bothered PBF if not for that cut he would have won rounds 4-5 as well.

 

No need for this rematch. FLoyd fought a stupid fight for the first 5 rounds, and than fought a normal fight for the second half of it. I had it 8-4 but would have no problem with 7-5 scoring.

The rematch will look more like the last 6 rounds of their first fight. I'd imagine FLoyd stays more in the center of the ring, utilizes his lateral movement to sidestep Maidana anytime he feels himself getting pinned on the ropes, and I see him probably cruising to a dominant UD. He's too cerebral of a fighter to allow Maidana to get away with some of the things he was able to in their first match.

Everything went right for Marcos in their first fight. Hard to imagine him having anymore success than he did in their first go around. Probably will be 9-3 or 10-2 type of fight.
