To be fair, I thought the Maidana fight was one of the few worth paying for.

As for Khan, not forgetting his longer reach... That's what makes it an interesting fight!

The irony... a rematch for a fight he said he dominated.

Boring. I don't see anything being different from the first fight which, despite not being the shutout many predicted, was a clear result.

I agree with most posts on here, no need for a rematch. From the middle of the fight on Maidana was missing a lot and Floyd was winning rounds with accurate, effective punching. I think he picks up where he left off.

One thing that may spice things up a bit is if Maidana can negotiate to use his gloves this time around. But we all know that likely wont happen.

Wow what a stupid move by Floyd. The first one didn't sell well and this one won't either.

I cannot stand this circus any longer. The WBC-WBA Unification fights or unified fights at welterweight were always very important, even-matched events such as of 1981 Leonard-Hearns or of late Oscar De La Hoya- Félix Trinidad. This Chino fights are a mockery for the Commissions. The only fights that were meaningful after Monzon and involving an argentine were with Juan Domingo Roldan's shot at Marvin's Middleweight Title, Juan Domingo Roldan fight as number two contender at the Vacant WBC Middleweight Title against Thomas Hearns that Tommy won but would lose to Barkley and Barkley would lose to Duran. Again, Julio Cesar Vasquez' ( 52-1disq(to Verno Phillips), 35Kos) WBA Junior Middleweight Championship only lost to Pernell Whitaker when Seat Pea was WBC Welterweight Champion and Carlos Tata Baldomir's WBC Welterweight Championship won against Arturo Gatti R.I.P. and lost to Floyd Mayweather and finally Sergio Maravilla Martinez winning the WBC WBO Lineal Middleweight Championship first to Kelly Pavlik and then to Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr. This Marco Rene Maidana who was a Jnr Welterweight rematch is a FLUKE, a loss that was not supposed to be for Adrien Broner and a misperception of millions for a one-sided bout with Mayweather!

Whatever happened to MANDATORY challengers and sanctioning bodies enforcing? Seems like they're getting enforced for other fighters.

People have been unjustly hard on him in my view, and I thought Khan looked very sharp against Luis.

I don't know if that's the "only fight" I would pay to see, but I agree with you that it would likely be an entertaining bout. I also think Khan is under-rated by the morons that typically post on this forum. But of course, these same guys couldn't throw a proper punch either... so that tells you what their opinion on professional boxers is worth.

Maidana deserves a rematch in the same sense that Oscar and Cotto deserve a rematch... they made Floyd look uncomfortable and won 3 or 4 rounds.

By most fighters' standing, that doesn't warrant a rematch at all.

But being that Maidana did probably the fourth or fifth best job at trying to beat Floyd in his whole career and the limited options elsewhere, it seems a fit.

I would much rather see a young hungry lion like Bernard Hopkins face Mayweather than Maidana again.

It depends if Buenos Aires will allow Xylocaine.
