I give Proksa a lot of credit for taking this fight but I can only see it ending in defeat. Golovkin is certainly unproven but that's because none of the top Middleweights want anything to do with him. The lengths Sturm and, in particular, N'Kijam have gone to in order to avoid him have been laughable.

I think GGG wins by ko. After seeing Proksa struggle against a journeyman like Hope, I just can't see him beating a superior talent like Golovkin. His hands-down style leads to him getting caught far too easily. At times, he doesn't seem to be able to accurately judge when he's in punching range. I think that'll cost him dearly against an accurate power-puncher like GGG.

No glass glassier than that of a Brit.

    Proven time and time again.

Fair play to Proska for taking the fight but I only see this ending in Golovkin by brutal KO

And it will be GGG's 1st fight in the USA. Proksa's 1st pro fight was in Vegas. He's the home town favorite!

Gennadiy may have a weak pro resume, but he has a stellar amateur resume and though he was hit too much against Kasim he has demonstrated a brilliant skillset, with both good offence and defence, and can really counter punch.

Proksa throws some really wild shots. His hands are always too low, he lifts his chin when he throws his left, he occasionally throws these huge haymakers that are easy to counter...he has good upperbody movement and fastish hands, but I can just see his defence being way too poor and his attack leaving him open and off balance too many times against Golovkin, he comes off both feet far too often when he throws

Looking forward to this big time though

I agree on all points other than defense. GGG walks through punches rather then trying to avoid them.

Question is which Proksa will show up? Part of him keeping his hands down against Hope was to embaress him. Younger Proksa kept his hands higher so i would hope he does the same against GGG.

    I was joking man:lol:

Yeah neither have a great resume but if you take the am's into consideration I feel the edge goes to GGG. Imo this will be golovkin on the map with the casuals

Great amatuer record....on that same note he fought as an AM into his mid 20's while guys like Proksa turned pro early.

GGG had experience and age on his side in the Olympics.

Nightmare style for Proksa. He might be putting some leather on GG and confuse him a bit while GG is studying him like (any intelligent boxer) he usually does but his dubious defensive attitude combined with the offensive tendencies he's showed against Hope and Sylvester, I'd be genuinely surprised if Proksa lasted.

If his power was a bit better, I'd be more strongly inclined to pick Proksa. Sure, he stunned Sylvester but I have a clear feeling that GG will take his punches. GG could try to make it a brawl, take his punches and grind him down like he did Ouma, but somehow I have a feeling he won't have to. The boxing and countering the counterpuncher with straighter, harder shots will see him grind Proksa down. One this is for sure - Proksa's chin will be tested here.

Both fighters are a bit unproven, so like some posters said - it's hard to make big statements. But just like I saw that Ward would beat Kessler based on their previous performances, I make the same call here. GG's skills, while also having limitations, are there to see and Proksa doesn't have the style to nullify them.

Proksa does not have brute force power but rather sneaky odd angles and speed score him KD's.
