Looks like Pulev-Whyte is happening

It’s a tough one to call because of Pulev’s injuries and inactivity.

One fight in 18 months and it was an uninspiring UD over Kevin Johnson.

I’m edging towards Whyte just because he’s the younger, fresher and more active man.

I’d avoid povetkin if I was whyte

 

He dominated that Johnson but couldn’t seem to put the lad away, although Johnson was very negative it was like he didn’t respect Pulev’s power.

I’d fancy it if I was Whyte. Pulev’s got a good jab but his feet are slow and he doesn’t seem to have that one big shot. I think Povetkin is the best of the 3.

 

Pulev is a tough cookie if I were Whyte I’d stay clear cos a loss against him or Povetkin and the AJ rematch is not happening ever or a Wilder fight.

Whyte needs to think really carefully what he does next rather than listen to his promoter who just put him in with anyone.

I like Whyte he’s what it says on the tin kinda guy. If I were him I’d go Chisora rematch cos it’s very winnable and another good payday and keeps him alive for the big purse fight.

 

Great fight, very hard to pick a winner.

But i want and hope Whyte wins. This would be a fantastic win for him, really hopes he does it.

Will this be at the o2? Could you see this fight selling out??

 

What your saying makes total sense...but imagine if Whyte beats Pulev..would make more noise and take him alot further then beating Chisora.

And i know last time he struggled against Chisora but if they was to have a rematch, Whyte wins again.

 

Silly fight for Whyte. He is WBC mandatory, he needs to be selfish and just wait for the mandatory to be called. We as fans love the fact that he’s willing to jump in with Pulev and Povetkin but if he loses to either of these guys then he essentially becomes Chisora until he somehow gets another big win.

Pulev has a better jab than Whyte, it’s a very difficult fight for Whyte.

 

If the WBC ordered a final eliminator for Whyte against Ortiz, Povetkin or Pulev then fair enough. Jumping into an IBF mandatory with Pulev would be dumb though, he’d be better of targeting Wilder. Wilder would KTFO Whyte but at least Whyte would have the opportunity to win the WBC and then have a mega fight with Joshua for everything.

 

Should do 9000 at the O2. Whytes last show was cracking, don't think anyone left the O2 disappointed that night. But still on his own couldn't sell out the O2 at full capacity

 

Hearn should strike while the irons hot! At least after Saturday people know who povetkin is, pulev not so much

 

EH Day needs a huge top of the bill fight to sell out the O2 as nobody really interested in the same stale feather fisted nextgen v a pile of nextcan puddings.

Pudding Pulev would struggle to sell his arris on Old Compton Street never mind sell out the O2
