Knowing James Toney, he has probably lost this weight the wrong way. Via stupid restricted diets etc.....

He looks abit drained for my liking in that first video.

But ether way, i think he will win. And he need to keep ontop of his conditioning and clean living, its not rocket science.

Funny how people bang on about Bernard Hopkins. James Toney probably has a better resume over his entire career, he's fought and beaten more impressive fighters at middleweight, and his Cruiserweight and Heavyweight stints in my opinion for a middleweight originally, trump whatever Bernard Hopkins has ever done.

Bernard Hopkins is completely and utterly overrated. Bernard Hopkins had 21 defences of his middleweight crown, Chris Eubank had 20-21..? successful championship fights over middleweight and super-middle weight.

Funny how the Wanker has gone all quiet since his Chad Dawson fight, and there has never been any MRI scan.

 

He's not gone that quiet, he's been having a go on twitter like you do these days. And if you checK oUt the site that hypes fights, his trainer is setting the score straight in a number of articles.

With regard the Toney v Hopkins debate, Hopkins will always be regarded greater than Toney in terms of achievements. In terms oF pure boxing ability and skill very few would beat Toney in a matchup. But unfortunately Toney was not a dedicated and disciplined fighter, plus he got caught cheating with steroids twice.

 

There was an MRI scan you moron - they found he'd dislocated his collar bone from his shoulder. Funny how Dawson hasn't said a word about wanting the belt back...

 

lets be real, and I am a big fan of James Toney, but he is doing it for a payday. Same as the UFC.

 

Have you got a link to a story about an MRI scan? I have only read he went to hospital and the Dr gave him basic pain killers nothing more.

Is it a separation from the collar bone or just a normal popped shoulder?

There's not really a lot you can do with a popped shoulder other than take painkillers, then start on the cables to build it back up.

Having it put back in is probably the most awful pain you can have, unless you have it back in at pitchside when the adrenalin is still running through you it's a job for four blokes.

Three to hold you down and the other to lift, rotate and pop it back in.

Makes an awful snapping sound :-(

 

It's pretty obvious he was injured and couldn't continue. Anyone who thinks he "quit" after seeing the medical evidence is just an idiot.
