Wlad never wanted any part of Joshua, they were just playing along with Hearns negotiations to save face.

Ducks don't come any more obvious.

Yeah, it looks... less impressive than it was shaping up to be. I see your point. But the Wlad-AJ fight "might" not be definitively off yet. Hearn says they're waiting to see what the WBA says (about sanctioning it as a title fight).

Joshua vs Molina really does nothing for AJ's development (imo). That's a routine early stoppage win. Even a Duhaupas fight, for example, would be better than that (if it came down to it, at least he's durable).

Let's hope that AJ-Molina doesn't happen next if a Wlad fight falls through.

Theyre just waiting for the WBA to approve it, which will happen. I'm not worried about it.

I don't see any reason at all why they won't, They are obviously aware the entire boxing scene is waiting for them to do it and will be massively disappointed if they don't. They have to be massive ****s to not sanction this.

Yep. Plus they'll make money off of a sanctioning fee. It's a win/win scenario here.

That doesn't appear likely. From what I've read the fight is being held up because of Wlad's insistence that the WBA title also be on the line. Might be a blessing in disguise for Wlad if this fight falls through, Joshua is all wrong for him at this stage of his career.

Both Joshua and Wlad put in requests to have the WBA title on the line. Everything is in the hands of the WBA.

Its only Wlad insisting the WBA is on the line, Joshua is ready to go regardless. This is Wlads way out of the fight, he knows the WBA aren't gonna budge.

Yes both have submitted requests to the WBA for sanctioning but Wlad is the one saying no WBA title=no fight.

They'll sanction it. It's all about the $$$ for these sanctioning bodies, they'd be idiots for passing up on this huge fight.

Wlad was the longtime WBA champion. I'm sure they'd love him back in the driver's seat. It'll happen.

I hope so, the HW division really needs a shot in the arm.

Neither guy has any claim to the WBA strap so why should it be on the line?

Since when do sanctioning bodies give away their title to the highest bidder. They have ranked contenders for a reason and Joshua is not one of them.

Wlad either fights AJ for the IBF OR the #1 ranker by the WBA which is Ortiz.

He's not getting a unification fight anywhere. My guess is Burnd Bountor is working round the clock to get him a WBA shot against Browne or Oquendo. :watchout::argue:
