Looks Like Wlad-AJ Fight Aint Happening

Hearn has said from day one they are only fighting Klitschko if the WBA belt was also on the line.

 

He's not saying it now. Wlad is. The past is the past. Now is now.

 

I think he means that Fury automatically had to vacate the IBF title if he beat Wlad. Only a Wlad victory would have seen that belt be able to be defended in the timeframe the IBF were demanding the winner face their mandatory challenger.

Nice to see Sky sports included plenty of quotes from Wlads camp! Not saying its lies btw just pointing out you cant rely on a Sky Sports article to be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth!

Personally i think the WBA will sell its belt to the highest bidder. They are just doing what the WBA does best and cashing in as much as they can

The deal is there but we are awaiting sanctioning from the WBA," Hearn exclusively told Sky Sports. "Both teams have written to the WBA to request sanctioning of our fight, but Wladimir wants the WBA belt to be on the line so until that is approved we cannot move forward.

"We expect news in the next few days, but in the mean time I believe both sides will look at alternative options for December 10 while we hope to get the news we need to make the fight happen."

 

I know, it's ****ing sad now. We sit and argue but we all lose, on a daily basis.

 

I still hope this fight can be made. Great fight for the division and boxing as well.

 

Hearns never said the absence of the WBA would be a deal breaker . Wlad has , which would lead me to believe he isn't as interested as he makes out.

 

At this rate only the WWE divas belt should be on the line.

 

Two things:

Hearn has said from the beginning that if the WBA is not involved they aren't making the fight. Additionally, if this were not the case he would not have petitioned the WBA to be involved but he did as I just showed you. Going to be awesome when Joshua 'moves on' to fight yet another handpicked bum who can't punch back.

 

When and where did Wlad say this? Only person i have seen or heard say it was Hearn who said a fight like this cant only be for 1 belt.

 

The next 48 hours will decide whether the mega fight will happen as promoter Eddie Hearn waits on the WBA to sanction the bout for their world title.

Klitschko’s camp are insisting the fight will only go ahead if Joshua’s IBF title and the WBA crown is on the line.
