Arreola is the best opponent for Wlad at the moment. And in US, please.

yes exactly, hopefully fury will have fought dmitrenko to establish a new top 10 opponent, adamek should be ready for another crack at the title and helenius will hopefully have faced boystov by then.

there's enough fights at present to easily keep wlad goinhg for 3 more years

yes, because he has proved it correct? ever since he had his ears boxed off by the former cruiserweight, heres what the "best opponent" has fought to earn it

    Manuel Quezada ranked 101
    Joey Abell ranked 128
    Nagy Aguilera ranked 86
    Kendrick Releford ranked 133
    Friday Ahunanya ranked 132

4 out of the 5 guys werent even in the top 100 :rofl

he looks like the best oppnent for you because he can beat up guys not ranked in the top 100 ? give me a ****ing break,...im sick of guys getting free shots becaue theys tring along 5 wins against bums...did you see the guy in your avatar unearned fight vs vitali? perfect example

Who has better change stylistically to beat Wlad atm? Povetkin and Helenius are not about to fight him.

I don't give more than 10% for Chris but that's more than I'd give for Adamek, for example.

    i dont know....
all i know is because arreola has the style to beat him, he needs to beat some to prove it . going 10 rounds with friday a, who was 39 years old and ranked # 132...doesnt do much for my confidence of chris landing a lucky punch

Correct. Vitali likes to throw every round.

I´m in agreement with everyone that Arreola needs to beat a top 10 guy to get a shot.

With his latest comeback, he has proven that he can get in better shape and throw even more punches as a result. His conditioning should be better too. His power seems to have diminished though, however, it should be more than enough for Wlad should he find a way to connect multiple times. I think there is a definite possibility for Arreola to jump on Wlad early and be successful.

With Wlad, Arreola´s aggression will be his greatest asset.

Helenius is the best tune up out there for anyone thinking of facing Wlad.

Only difference is, everything Helenius does, Wlad does much better.... except that Helenius is more willing to get into exchanges.

:thumbsup on the other fights you mentioned, but there just ins't anyone ranked that isn't busy, previously beaten or ducking for Wlad to fight in the top 10.

    Ring Rankings: HEAVYWEIGHT

    CHAMPION: Wladimir Klitschko

    Vitali Klitschko - Not possible

Tomasz Adamek - Busy with Vitali

Alexander Povetkin - Busy with Chag

    David Haye - Defeated

Ruslan Chagaev - Busy with Povetkin

    Eddie Chambers - Defeated

    Alexander Dimitrenko - Available

Denis Boytsov - Missing in action

Robert Helenius - Too green to be a serious threat at this time. Great fight for 2012/2013

Chris Arreola - Too green to be a serious threat at this time. Great fight for 2012/2013

As I mentioned above, there just really isn't anyone else ranked for him to face at the moment.

I'm thinking Dimitrenko this Fall/Winter, then Povetkin/Chag winner next Spring, then Helenius or Arreola next Summer/Fall.

Wishful thinking right here. Haye was able to connect on Wlad and didnt hurt him, what makes you think that not as powerful Arreola can?

I agree. Arreola is a good fight to sell, but I don't think he has a chance of winning at this moment.

He would have a better chance this time next year.

Dimitrenko is never going to have a chance, he's just a stay busy fight until Povetkin becomes available.

Since losing to Adamek Arreola has beaten Quezada, Abell, Ahyunya, Releford, Aguilera.....I wouldn't call any of them bums but they are not top competition, none of them are Top 50.

Haye beat a WBA champ (however pathethic) and he beat Monte Barrett and a suprisingly well-preserved Ruiz. Even Harrison was higher ranking and more accomplished than any of Arreola's recent opponents.

Arreola deserved his 1st shot at Vitali but he doesn't deserve a 2nd title shot yet. If he gets it without fighting an elim first it will be because fans like him.

From a TV exec perspective, and from a spectacle perspective, this is all good. From a sporting perspective I don't expect a competitive match, though I give Arreola a longshot puncher's chance.

I want to see this fight. Wlad vs Arreola is a good fight for Wlad's return to a US ring. I'll be tuning in.
