Yeah it's crazy that this fight which isn't even regarded as a special fight is selling out a 70k football stadium. Hatton did 57K near the end of his career for Lazcano at the Manchester City ground but he'd already fought Mayweather and was at the height of his success.

The interest and demand to watch AJ is unparalleled, I've never seen anything like this in the UK before.

 

I 2nd that. Ive never seen it on this level before, not on these shores. Thing is he only got 90,000 in Wembley because it couldnt hold more, imagine how high those numbers could get if we had a venue that was bigger.

 

Is it possible to have a 100,000+ crowd in the UK without building anything else?

 

I cant think of anywhere suitable for viewing Boxing and im not sure if its even feasable to go bigger. A mate of mine was right at the back at Wembley for the Wlad fight and he couldnt see a damn thing from where he was sat. Everything he saw was on a TV screen no bigger than my own.

 

Roundhay Park, Leeds holds up to 100,000. Probably biggest venue in UK. Not sure how it'd do for boxing though.

 

That is a shame. I was hoping it was possible to break the attendance record.

From what i have heard though the record is set in Mexico at over 200,000.

I think when Joshua fights Takam it will break the indoor world attendance record.
