Lol, maybe I am reaching, I just can't understand what happened last night. Taylor looked terrified for much of the fight, and basically just looked like an opponent not a former undisputed champ.

Why would he retire now that he is in position to make big money?

Agassi admittedly hated tennis and claims his father forced him into it and I think there are similarities with Fimo & Sr. He clearly has personal and mental issues to deal with and perhaps boxing itself, the controlled violence, the pressures, the public persona, his father's abusive role and the time away from loved ones are the root cause for this issues. No one really came out of Covid without some mental scars either. Best heal up and see if HE wants to return on his own terms.

Like Tyson Fury, Teofimo has an unsettled mind and life. The only logical thing is to to take what either of them says with a grain of salt. (Whatever that means.) For anybody, actions speak louder than words but it is most certainly true for the two of them.

He saw his face in the mirror and realized he got very lucky as even a shot Taylor messed him up bad. The piece of **** won't be missed.

This guy ain’t retiring. He’s got a lot of big money fights that can be made. This is just like Tyson Fury announcing retirement, just all talk. He’ll stick around.

That's what can happen when you face a dangerous counter puncher. Teo was countering with jabs and left hooks over Taylor's low lead hand when he jabbed or came in, he'd counter with rights to the body and right uppercuts when Taylor landed the rear hand. something he also did to Loma. He punished Taylor for being aggressive and eventually Taylor started to hesitate to throw for fear of what would come back.

Taylor did try to be more aggressive in the final 4 rounds knowing he was losing but Lopez had got his timing down by then and he ended taking big shots and getting hurt, which is why he unravelled in the final round and was forced to tough it out to prevent getting dropped.

I remember that interview with Max Kellerman i was stunned with the mental issues the kid was going through. He was being real about it and speaking out.I thought he just a kid and will sort it out as he mature as a man.Looks like at 25 he still got demons over his head.I worry as a fan.I hope he can find peace. Boxing is great and the money is alluring but you know people who have all these things are still miserable inside.I just hope the kid can find peace. It’s a shame people like father and x wife are energy suckers and mentally draining to deal with and create chaos in his life.

Even during the ring walk I did think Lopez looked much more confident then Taylor.

Start of PED cycle. Good boxer but got seriously outlanded by Loma - his greatest accomplishment.

Lopez is a douchebag of the highest order. The way some fighters feel about their own fans these days is mind boggling. Did you see in his dressing room pre-fight he's doing his Bruce Lee moves, finishes with looking straight down the camera and flicking everyone the bird. Then he get's this perverted, self serving grin on his face probably thinking "take that losers, you're making me rich". Him and his Dad are dirtbags.
