Lopez/Marquez Fight Cancelled!!

It's a showtime card, he's getting a flat fee from the network. If anyone was going to try packing shop on that night, it was GBP, who's marketing a really crappy PPV against what would have been a solid free fight.

Plus, if he was trying to pull some BS, it would have been Lopez pulling out of the fight. Lopez is actually with Top Rank. Marquez is not.

i know which fighter is with what promoter...but this is pretty much TOPRANK VS GBP and GBP is offering up a nice ****en card....on mexican independence weekend where i'm sorry to say, but it gets more cracken in L.A. then in VEGAS...plus, just look at the card.....:good

what numbers would be drying up? It's not like they'd be expecting to sell out the MGM for this fight and it's not PPV. Most of the money would have come from Showtime and some from the casino. That money wasn't going anywhere. I would think it's a legit injury.

they need to scrap the card. It's not as if Caballero's phone is going to ring. Just postpone the fight, don't further delay things with Lopez fighting a journeyman.
