Hmmnnn... I'm trying to recall if I did bashed Floyd in the past. I also can't make/create new threads...

On topic: Caballero will be a good replacement and he won't hesitate a second to take this fight.

 

BUt Arum will....

 

Two of the fights I wanted to see most this year are running into trouble-Marquez-Lopez and Ward-Dirrell. There aer still 4weeks left and I would think the date could still be saved. Cabellero is an obvious replacement but I don't see that happening. Being that weekend is always reserved for Mexican Independance Day I would assume Top Rank will look to put a Mexican fighter in there.

There are a few solid fighters that could step in-Johnny Gonzalez is scheduled to fight that week and Juan Carlos Burgos is fighting the same day, both would be good replacements. Antonio Escalante just had an easy fight so he could be available as well. All are good replacements for four weeks, are Mexican, and would probably be approved by Showtime.

i just swapped texts with caballero. he was just starting to work out so we didnt get to say much. but he is aware of the cancellation. he is definitely in shape to take the fight on short notice, and we can hope for the best, but like the rest of you, i doubt he will get the call.

 

Make lopez vs john happen or lopez vs caballero. Either fight would be good to go:thumbsup

 

Juanmaricon should take on Pelenchin and just put to rest all the naysayers.

Celestino's ready, so there's no need to lose a huge payday, just replace Marquez with Caballero, and it will all be settled.
