I used to think this was going to be the test for Juanma. NOT ANYMORE!! I just finish watching Penaloza/Ponce de Leon. He made Ponce look like a boxer. Now he is 36 and going up in weight. I really can't see the skills to give Juanma a hard time. The only two questions for me are: 1. How long is going to take for Juanma to find the chin of the little guy??? and 2. How many shots will Penaloza be able to take???? I see an easy KO for Juanma in less than 5 rounds.

The only fighters I see with chances against Juanma are Izzy and Rafa @122lbs. Also if eventually he goes up in weight and Gamboa still hasn't get his ass KOed, that could be a good fight.

    Your opinions on Juanma/Gerry????????????

Penelosa is very durable and a good technician. I think he will be a good test for JuanMa, a pre-cursor if you will to the durability he will face in fighting Vasquez/Marquez.

Honestly though, they are very shopworn fighters. I think the biggest test/main threat to JuanMa is Cabellero.

Although Molitor vs. JuanMa would still be an interesting fight if Molitor can get himself another good win to get back into the picture. Though I think JuanMa would destroy him eventually, I think their relatively similar size would make it more even than Molitor-Cabellero (before the inevitable highlight reel K.O from JuanMa)

Gamboa would give him a Helluva fight at 126. I wouldn't wanna' call that. Chris John would frustate him immensely and I wouldn't wanna' call that one either.

But in terms of the SBW's, considering that Marquez/Vasquez have probably beaten their prime performances out of each other, I'd gor Cabbelero (unless Cordoba beats Dunne and shows he has his fire back, he would have to be considered too)
