Lopez vs Haney seems to be the fight to make. Both fighter will have the same recovery time and there has been a lot of talk of Haney moving up. Haney’s dad was at the studio as well talking about the history camp Lopez and camp Haney have.
Haney will bite the dust if he gets in a ring with Lopez. Lopez is faster, hits harder and Haney's chin is suspect. The only viable chance that Haney has is that Lopez shows up unprepared like against Kambosos.
Haney won’t withstand the shots. It doesn’t show as much at 140 than it did at 135, but Teo is a big puncher. Haney got rocked by Loma who probably belongs 2 divisions below 135 and Linares made him do the chicken dance. Haney definitely gets ko’d. Teo can match his boxing, but Haney cant match his power
Haney all day every day. Boring and calculated, sticks to the gameplan, has a common trait shared with Mayweather: he knows how to make ajustments and nullify the opponent's strengths round after round. He has a great jab, timing, is fast and clever, I think in his head he's a hero, oozing confidence. Not to mention quick on his feet and has a man love for the clinch. What more can I say about him? He sucks the air out of the room (making it a stinkfest) and a high speed chess match snoozefest.
I told people ages ago that if Teofimo detonates clean on Haney's mandible he'll knock his ass smooth out. Tiny blown up 126 pounder Loma hurt Haney badly. A shot inactive Linares hurt him badly too and would've finished him had the bell not come to his rescue. And even blown up 126 ATG featherfist alcoholic Jojo rocked him a few times. Teofimo is not a blown up 126 pounder or an old man. But Haney doesn't deserve a shot at the champ coming off that wildly considered unofficial loss against an old past prime Loma in his own backyard who he had at least 20lbs on.
