Lopez will KO 1st Round Penalosa!!!

    Penalosa said he is in condition to go 15 rounds, but is concerned with a decision because its in Juanma's backyard.
    He also said he feels stronger than ever and is plenty fast....and he has a
    surprise for Juanma.

    Translation: Juanma will KO Penalosa in the 1st round. He has said it off the record that he will look for the 1st round KO.

    What are your thoughts?

    If he goes toe to toe, Juanma will finish him early.

    Penelosa is too smart to get K.O'd in the first round.

    If JuanMa pulls it off it will be a massive coup for hm and will propel him into the Top 10 P4P lists IMO.

    Not sure if JuanMa stops him...Penalosa is one tough SOB...if he does stop him it will be late in the fight...

    If Juan manuel kos gerry in the first round I will be very surprise. He will scare everybody in the division.

    A veteran like Penalosa knows better than to go toe to toe with the fiercest puncher at 122. He's not going to do that. He'll box and give the youngster some things to think about for the first time..

    not sure juanma will ko him, but if he does it'll be a huge accomplishment....penalosa has faced some huge punchers and never been ko'd.....

    but remember to also keep in mind that this is gerry's 20th year as a pro...

    I agree. I for one would like to see JuanMa do some rounds, see what he's like apart fom bulldozing.

    Although if he manages to bulldoze Penelosa (which is not completely out of the question) then that will be even more impressive.

    :goodAgree 100%. Juanma will win but not so early. It might even go the distance. And that will even be better for Juanma. Get some experience and more people will be willing to fight him.

    hmm says... he's not gonna get KOed in 1 round... this fight has the potential of going the distance. But if we are predicting stoppages, I'ld say 8+.

    JuanMa has beaten good fighters in the first round, but he's asking a lot of himself if he thinks he'll do that to Penalosa.

    Good luck to Gerry who is a great lil fighter who really doesn't have to take on this sort of challenge.

    I think JuanMa will start overly aggressive looking for the KO but eventually settle down into his groove and work (because he will have to work for it) a very impressive 12 round decision. Something in the 9-3 range. Maybe a KD or two sprinkled in there.

    Should be a great fight. Tits I'm gonna miss it though.
