Time for Soto vs Valero! Both of them need to fight a recognized name to make them more marketable.

    118-108 | 117-109 | 117-109 :good

It's a shame Soto has a loss on his record to this guy (wasn't that supposed to have been changed to a No Contest???); he's awkward and durable enough to give anybody a headache but Humberto is clearly in a different class altogether. He's only 28, there's still time to make some things happen.

As for Lorenzo, he's an exciting undercard level gatekeeper for the super featherweight division, I'd love to see some of the up and comers like Antillon take him on.

Unification is looking tasty, with Soto/Linares/Baloyi/Cook and then guys like Juarez, Valero, Guerrero and Arthur waiting in the wings.

I'm going to go ahead and say that the exodus of the big names like Pac, MAB, Morales, JMM and Guzman has not rendered super featherweight lifeless. :deal

    Valero moved up to lightweight
    Arthur is crude
Baloyi and Cook are trash imo

Whats keeping this division rendering from lifeless is that the featherweight elites who dont want to fight each (for some reason) are moving up. Its should be clear though, that Soto is the man to beat.

    Finally! Soto is world champ.

The Guzman fight was a terrible idea for a guy who's won 3 WBC elims and should have been fighting someone with a less horrid style.

Soto's hopefully going to have a Margarito year in '09, when all the hard work and persistence has paid off. Put him in with an offensive fighter and he'll look great.

Guys like Lorenzo and Gamaliel Diaz are dirty, unorthodox fighters and can make things hard in there. Soto does have a way of breaking his opponents' hearts.

Were there any justice in the world Soto would be rewarded twice as much as Margarito.
