the wbc did not do the right thing, and they are setting a dangerou precedent.

we all agree that cortez f----ed up, causing this mess. but the official call is dq, therefore, lorenzo is the winner of the fight. and should be awarded the title.

the only one that should make a call on whether or not the result was correct is the commission, not sulaiman. it is notas if he is the most righteous person out there.

just because the wbc does not agree with the outcome of the fight, they should not have the authority to overturn the fficial results. what is next. they dont agree with the scoring of a fight, and refuse to recognize the winner.

No need to suspend Cortez. Just let him retire. He is too old for the sport.

Exactly. This will/would set a very bad precedence. They have no right to change the outcome of a fight, doesn't matter if the result was contreversial or not. The WBC has no right to pick when to NOT award a title when an official decision by the NSAC was already given.

Do I think Cortez ****ed up? Yes. Do I think Lorenzo deserves the title? No. Do I believe the only one with the right to change the outcome is the NSAC? Yes.

So barring an official change by the NSAC, Lorenzo holds the title. Sorry.

Nady and Cortez should both do the sport a favor and retire. Robert Byrd seems pretty capable. I wonder why he doesn't get more big fights.

I think a rematch would clear this all up and give Humberto the win he deserved the first time.

And hopefully not against lorenzo again, soto already beat him in my eyes. Perhaps..Yuriorkis gamboa who is rank #3 by the WBC:deal

Great news, it would have been sad if Soto had that ridiculous DQ loss stamped in his record.

meh. this is like treating aids with cough syrup. soto should have the belt right now. lorenzo having it, or not having it doesn't matter that much. soto still doesn't have his well deserved title
