hh I'm off topic, but I have a puzzle that only you might resolve...I have posted this before with no resolution...
In the early 1950s I watched Ray Robinson Fight Bobby Dykes at the old Coney Island Veledrome in New York..It was an old oudoor arena...Robinson won a 10 rd dec...My instincts tell me that they fought before...This fight is never LISTED in the record books...But I saw it!
The records show Ray Robinson vs Billy Brown NY, Sept4,1950...
And Ray Robinson vs Bobby Dykes Chicago Nov8,1950...
No listing of the fight I saw between Robinson and contender Bobby Dykes,at Coney Island Veledrome NY..
As posted before I recall Robinson was late, and I saw from the top of the stands Robinson arriving late in his fuscia colored Cadilac, with his entourage, and entering the stadium...It is like the "Bermuda Triangle".
A real mystery...Think you can shed some light hh ?

hh thanks for your efforts..I know that the record says Brown,Sept 4, 1950... But I saw Bobby Dykes at the Veledrome..I was very familiar with the very tall and rangy Bobby Dykes, and that is who I SAW...I am almost positive that the fight I saw was the second fight between Robinson and Dykes, probably over the weight and LATER than 1950.
I have looked at abouttwenty old Ring Mags of 1950-1953, without much success..Probably info in the old mags 1950-1953 that I don't have...
I feel like I am in the twilight zone, but I'll keep punching...Too bad Bobby Dykes passed away several years ago...He would have confirmed that bout with Robby at the old Coney Island Veledrome...b.b.

HH, did memorising trivia somethign you just took to easily, or did it really fascinate you and you wored very hard at it?

Seems an odd thing to get heavily interested in. But it is very interesting.
