Don't know of anyone that has said he could but Ortiz will not beat Floyd either.

He did seem very determined as if he was gunning for a statement KO from the beginning and wanted to show he could walk through whatever Zaveck was throwing back. He might not have had as much success as he wanted but he did look really strong in there compared to last fight but then again Zaveck isn't Ortiz in terms of punching power.

It was a good fight while it lasted. Good stoppage too.

I don't think the loss made Berto a better fighter. He still does the same things he normally does.

His lower body is too small to fight the fight he wants. He's got great raw power and willingness to bang so he's going to start drawing if he keeps it up.

I think he was faster in this fight with more stamina and he's going to the body more. If he went to Orti'z body he could have possibly won. No guarantee though.
I think now his problem is just his ring IQ and skill and of course defense. I think a change of trainers will due him well

:yep my bad I forgot about it.
And I think Nazzim Richardson would be good, but I don't think that'd work because of his conflict with Mosley.
I think if he got with Floyd Mayweather Sr. he could actually get a lot better. he'd have him jabbing a lot more and have better head movement.

Yeah senior would be perfect, but he has to prepared that anything he achieves is 100 percent seniors doing not his own, he would be nothing without senior, that is how it works with senior no? :yep

Actually, it's made Berto a more determined and BUTTER fighter.

    - if you know what I mean. (sorry, couldn't resist.)

yeah if it wasn't for that then he'd be a lot better. He did a good job with Oscar and Chad Dawson had his best fight when he was under Floyd Sr.
He's not a bad trainer, but just needs to humble himself

I didn't see any improvement @ all. He's still flat footed, defense is non- existent, gets tired after throwing combinations, holds a lot. I agree w/ you that a new trainer is what Berto needs.
