any of you out there lost the spark for boxing and training and lack the motivation to train? at the minute i have cut back on my training because im trying to put weight on but its like theres to sides to me one minute i want to train and feel gulity about not training then the other side than just hasnt got any motivation and wants to quit altogether. anyone felt like this? also when reducing training how much training is enough to maintain fitness levels say from training 6-7 days a week twice a day to 4 days a week how long till this has a impact of fitness levels? thanks
if i was you ,i would take a holiday ,,,boxing stuff (pad, bag ,circuit, sparring) 3 times aweek & fitness stuff running etc 2/3 times aweek ,,training twice a day is simply ridiculous unless your in a training camp ready to fight with all the professional people around you telling you how to eat ,sleep, drink & train if you have the privilege to train when you like ,then train to enjoy what you do ,and not because you can
Training doesn't mean you always have to go to the gym, take a few days off. Mix up your workouts, have strictly run days etc...you're going to burn yourself out
Its not as hard as it seems mate once you get your body used it .. @Poster, yes this happened to me also and took me a few months to gain back. It happens. Keep training 4 days a week so your fitness wont be rusty and ready to go fulltime again once you miss the sport more than anything. Thats what happened to me, goodluck :good
Yeah I'm done but thats more to do with anger over how training is (or isn't) progressing. If you don't love it, don't do it. Going through the motions will hurt you.
i dont even think you should be training 6-7 days a week. You dont have to be sore the next day to be over trained
As i said after 2 weeks you get used to it and don't get sore at all.. twice a day 6 days a week and taking sunday off is good enough
of course you can get used to it, doesnt mean you arnt over training yourself, the losing the spark of something is usually an indication that you overtrain. Its happened to me, was never sore or anything I seemed fine but each week i'd get lazier to train. could be wrong though
Thanks for all replies yh think ive jus burnt out an gt bored with sm routine mayb I need to mix it up , no I dont think im goin to compete for abit has my heads not in the game at the minute hopefully a change n rest will bring the joy of boxing back ...... Jus the worse thing tryin to get bk into swing things and being unfit lol
