I'd think more fluid loss than actual fat or muscle loss. Not knowing what you are doing to lose weight doesn't help in addressing your question either. I'll lose that much weight in a day when working outside in our upper 90 degree heat with matching humidity numbers but that is quickly replaced by a couple quarts of Gatorade or water. More info would likely get you a more definitive answer.
I lowered my caloric intake to 1700 calories or less a day. I go for a jog in the morning at around 6am for 20 mins and i also run on a treadmill in afternoon for 40 minutes which on the machine says i burn around 620 cals. I also do weight training to maintain muscle mass. I do this 5 days a week and have 2 days off. I weigh myself on my rest days in mid afternoon so i dont think its fluid loss
Then there's your likely answer. If you are pretty certain it's not fluid loss, you've lowered you caloric intake, exercise for cardio and are weight training for maintenance of muscle mass---------------I'd say fat loss is the answer.
I agree with gumbo here the weight loss is mostly fat maybe some muscle loss aswell. But i read somewhere that losing more then 2 pounds in a week means your burning muscle as well so im not too sure. Maybe measure body fat with your weight
2kg in a week, could be anything up to 1-2lbs of fat at ABSOLUTE BEST depending on a lot, and the rest water. Or if you've starved yourself, 1-2lbs of muscle maaaaaaaybe, a bit of a vague question.
1700 calories isn't anywhere near enough for somebody that actually trains hard, it wouldn't even get me through my day job, nevermind training in the gym and kickboxing. How tall are you and how much do you weigh?
That was going to be my next question. I have a friend that is morbidly obese. He is about 5' 10" tall and weighs about 325 lbs. When he decides to go on a diet, he'll drop 30 lbs. in a month, but most of that is fluid weight because he quits drinking his beer---------and he loves beer to the tune of almost a case (24 twelve oz. bottles) a day. So weight loss depends on more than just calories, exercise and types of foods you eat.
