    Williams Joppy is getting a title shot against Lucian Bute.

    Joppy has not beat a fighter who has won his previous fight since Hozumi in 2002.

    That's still the way new champions go with their first defence....easy ! Joppy has credentials that make him an interesting fighter to have on paper and that's all it is....Bute will step up to the plate for his next defence as its slated to be Andrade !

    Wow how right you are. I expect Bute will neatly box Joppy and probably stop him late like in the tenth.

    Yup, that on top of the fact they stripped the real champ in Joe. They're still better than the WBO though. Gary Lockett the number one middleweight in the world.

    Larry Holmes gave instant credit to the IBF after he was awarded years ago, now you name another IBF CHAMPION that hasn't discarded that belt.
