Lost first 9 out of 20 fights/still made HOF ?

    Yea, that is the 1st boxer I thought of BUT I didn't have same Stats as you did, so I thought you were thinking about someone else. I guess it depends on what source we use.

    Conn was truly a Great one and yes, he learned on the job.

    This has been somewhat confusing!

    What kind of HOFer - IBHOF or WBHF? Conn is of course a member of both - but when we were told, we were looking for a HOFer, who lost 9 of his first 20 fights, it got really strange!

    I have never seen a record anywhere, which suggests that Conn lost more than 7 of his first 20 bouts.

    Like I stated before, I have Billy Conn losing his first 7 out of 15 bouts. I was also confused about losing 9 of the first 20. Burt is very knowledgeable so I am pretty sure that he took these Stats off the top of his head.
