anybody else think he was definitely hit low? depending upon cup placement it could have well hurt imo. that said, i'm sure he "milked it" for all it was worth, but why wouldn't you in such an exhausting fight?

There are a lot of people on this forum claiming extensive geographic knowledge of Bernard's nutsack. Odd that most of them are Calzaghe fanboys...

  . but seriously, just watched the fight from the "sentana" or whatever feed, and they replayed in slo mo the "low blow". it was definitely low, not just on the belt line. it could've definitely hurt depending upon the arrangement of certain things.

To be fair to Bernard there are an awful lot of reputible sources that think he won as well.

Oh well the big money fight for HBO is still on I guess.

yeah, having just watched it (up till the 11th and 12 th round), there was definitely an argument that bhop was winning. i mean in most rounds it seemed that he landed multiple solid shots (not just one per round as some are saying), and it was often hard to point to any similar shots from calzaghe. the holding was a bit much but imo most of the "clinches" were the result of their two awkward styles and than hopkins holding on a little bit. ugly and exhausting fight, but it looked awful close, hard to score, but i could see an argument for hopkins.

From the 3rd on, he was only running on instinct and still made Joe unable to dish out any serious sustained offense. TBH this was probably the best Hopkins could've done.
