I seen him in an interview and he was talking about kicking Joe Calzaghe's ass ... I highly doubt that ... and he was talking about he wouldn't consider him a hall of famer ... if he's not - I don't know who is. He has more title fights than Dirrell has fights and he's fought more champions than Dirrell has fights. This is ridiculous .. I like Dirrell but he has a lack of respect for good fighters ... he's saying that Calzaghe beat Old fighters, but what he failed to say is Calzaghe's old himself. Thoughts?
My thoughts? Dirrell's acting like a clown. He needs to do something notable before he talks about a future first-ballot HoFer like Calzaghe that way. These guys need to pay their dues.
I think Calzaghe would beat him easily........You got a link to the interview?............If it's like you say then it is disrespectful and Dirrel should shut up about fighters that are retired....Calzaghe isn't going to come out of retirement to fight Dirrel so theres nothing to gain from calling him out.
Exactly ... he said that Calzaghe won most of his fights because of his hands ... of course - of course dumb ass !! He's a first ballot hall of famer ... has 21 title defenses (second behind Joe Louis) who else has accomplished what Joe has?
stupid thing to say How come we don't here about his brother Anthony? They use to both feature on the same cards. Anthony has been fighting bums, has about the same amt of fights as Andre....guess he's not as good.
Its weird, in one sentence he says Kessler is the best super middleweight out there, but then in the next he says he has no respect for Calzaghe's skills, which is a slight contradiction. Anyway, Dirrell is in a loaded division and i don't see him beating many of the top dogs at the minute. He needs to concentrate on putting down some big performances before running down an ATG.
Dirrell is right, Calzaghe is a ****ing joke, the only reason Dirrell is saying anything good about the robot Kessler is because for some reason, not from his work in the ring, he is considered by most in the boxing press to be the #1 SMW.
