Lost some respect for Froch after reading this

Seriously. Yeah, he got a quickie stoppage in the Groves fight, but he was on his way to winning anyway. **** like that happens in boxing, and fans tend to make too much out of it. Is there anyone who will seriously argue that Groves is a better fighter??

Froch is a proven HoF-level fighter, maybe not ATG, but certainly great in this era. He has earned the right to make career decisions as he and his team see fit.

 

They know Groves gives them nightmares. Groves is a massive ppv fight in the UK. Stevenson is not.

Stevenson is a far more dangerous fight than a Groves rematch, and as much as the UK public want to see Froch-Groves 2 a fight with 'Superman' in the US makes a lot of sense, particularly financially......at this stage if Froch's career he is quite entitled to go after the money fights, Calzaghe done the same except he took on the past it fighters rather than prime.

Froch has never ducked anyone, he may not be one of the best but he is one of the bravest and there aint many fighters have as good a recent resume as him.

Saying all that i do hope we dont get a match up with Chavez jr!!

 

I think he'd beat Groves again; Groves just can't survive the 12, even with all the damage he does to Froch. Stepping up to a bigger fighter is hardly cowardly.

any of you actually read the article in the link? Show me where it
said anything about Froch even mentioning Adonis' name. It did say
Froch didn't care about money and only wanted to secure his legacy
and that was followed by him possibly fighting Chavez Jr in vegas.
Froch IS only about getting paid now and fighting low risk high reward
fights and you can't blame him. He should just come out and say it.
Groves beats him handily in a rematch.
