Man it sounds like your really stuck. Have you considered any tournaments or stuff like that where you could just get a room for a while and fight a few times? It's costly but if its what you love....

I don't really know too much about women's boxing i guess. It sucks when you can't do what you want to. Keep fighting keep at it!

That would be ideal. The bigger tournaments are single elimination and there is usually only 4-5 girls per/weight class. The National PAL tournament this year didn't have one single girl in my weight. The competition just isn't there, and when you get to the big national and international tournaments the same handful of girls win every year. The gal I lost my last two fights to has been boxing her whole life and had over 50 fights at the time. So I either go to the big tournaments and fight girls like her once a year, or I take a mis-matched match bout or two every year. Neither sound very appealing for how hard I work.

Jeez I'll say... that's bogus! Have you tried switching weight classes? Maybe theres more competition at different weights... i suppose you've thought about this already tho

    Yeah, I've tried that.

During the season I've had to fight gals who are two weighs above me. I've gone up and down with my weight all year to fight anyone I could. And that gets old too.

    Being a girl sucks. :(

I think he means that you're going to have to move somewhere else if you want to get fights, which is unfortunate.

Have you ever talked to the girl you fought who had 50+ fights? Who did she fight? Probably all the same people tho.

I'm sure some of them were the same people, I fought her twice. But she lives in Houston so I'm sure there's far more competition available to her.

That wouldn't be Kolya by chance, would it?

Well, if I ever meet any female fighters I'll tell them about you. You could always try maybe kickboxing, it's not the same but it's close?

Ooof, sorry I went there. I was just saying you could try it and just not you know, kick... maybe.

I don't know what else to tell you amy it seems like you're really stuck. Maybe it's best to just take a break for a while, who knows there might be some new up and comers when you come back. It's just sad to see someone have to give up what they love. But everything has a silver lining, you know if I hadn't been forced into giving up something I loved (at the time) I never would have discovered boxing. Who knows, you might find something totally new that you never knew you'd like.
