Agreed the speed difference would be too much. Parker would have a field day, teeing off on Browne.

Ortiz could easily have the wbc belt right now. I think he's still a live dog verses anybody out there. Will he get another chance against Joshua or Wilder at some point. Probably not. Parker has vastly more time to come back, Browne could well be a good turf fight to start with.

I think after the dust clears and if DW is on top I think he gives Ortiz a rematch. I think he wants to prove he could do better and I think he actually weirdly likes Ortiz because of theirbond with their daughters being sick when they were young.

Parker will just beat a couple of guys and get a mandatory within the next 18 months

Luis ortiz is an old man he will just be frozen out until he's really over the hill and get sparked by some young gun

Parker vs Browne for obvious geographical reasons. A good name for Parker and a nice retirement fight for Browne.

Ortiz won't fight the rest of this year in my opinion. Next time you see Ortiz fight will be when someone like Miller or Whyte want to add a decent name on their record. Ortiz will be 40 by the time they take that challenge though. Sadly Ortiz is done, was inactive anyway but he will be more inactive now.

Ortiz should clean up Wilder's back yard - Miller and Brazeale and Parker should do the same for AJ with Whyte and Povetkin. Then they should fight each other and the winner gets whoever is champion at the time. Wilder or AJ.

For both fighters it'll be decided on where they land in the rankings. Ortiz is easier to pick what route he will take as he was ranked prior to Wilder fight. Parker a bit difficult. Politics within the sanctioning bodies will play a part. WBO likes Parker, and he'll probably be ranked immediately with them next round. The others will be interesting, will they bump him up into the top 10 straight away? IBF had Parker as the mandatory after the Takam fight, so the IBF might make a play at Parker to get back for a shot again.
Really comes down to what AJ does, and if he makes the Wilder fight. Realistically, he will have to drop a belt or two soon after if he wins, likewise Wilder would if he wins. It'll open things up again for different directions for Parker to take. The key for him is to get back into the top 10 in a couple of sanctioning bodies quickly...

ortiz will not get any significant fight from this point

    he needed to beat wilder
now aged 39 in the who needs him club / bringing no money/fans to the table he does not have the time or money behind him to get a title shot.

he might fight a couple of top 100 journeymen over the next 2 years and that will be that /he will fade into retirement ala arreola who i also dont expect to see ever fight again.

parker just has to stay active
remember with the IBF all you have to do is pay them money for a 1 or 2 eliminator fight and if you win you are automatically mandatory.

Wilder will fight Breazeale next as Joshua has already knocked him out, but he is owned by Haymon. Joshua will fight Povetkin or Miller next, but there has been a report of a rematch with Vlad, we will have to wait and see. Wilder does not want to fight Joshua..................

Ortiz vs Bellew, UK's fans are good fans, they'll watch that ****. Luis could use the money and Tony could use the resume name.

Parker vs Fujimoto, been a money maker in the east for sometime and Fujimoto is getting to a point where he's going to have to take one a decent puncher or give up position. He may was well fight close to home and for a decent amount of money.

I don't see the calls for Parker to fight Browne after the Whyte fight. Where's the excitement there?

I'd like to see Parker fight Whyte himself, if the Wilder thing falls through, or even Chisora. He should try to build up his profile in the UK. Lots of easy, winnable fights for him there and he can make a ton of money while building up his profile for another possible crack at Joshua down the line. Fights with Povetkin and Ortiz would help him immensely, though I'd be wary of sticking him in with them right away.

As for Ortiz, he's fairly limited in his options. He could try to go for Povetkin, or come back to the UK for another bum tour, but he's getting on in years and isn't a huge sell; plus he now has a KO loss on his record, so the intrigue is gone. Not really sure what I'd do with him, TBH, if I was his manager.

The problem with claiming either should fight Povetkin/Whyte is that both are in primee positions to be mandatories.

Povetkin - Number 1 with IBF
Whyte - Number 1 with WBC

Either taking a risk is pointless.

Maybe Ortiz v Parker is their best option?

Risky....But it immediately puts the winner in for a shot against the guy the champ they haven't fought yet.

I imagine Parker wouldn't want it though. Parker could avoid Ortiz as time is on his side to rebuild. Ortiz needs the huge fights now.

No one who has now, or has a chance at a mandatory, will want to fight either of them..
    Too risky.
    Parker - Fujimoto
    Ortiz - TBA
