Some of y’all casuals need to start learning boxing. I read a take last night where someone compared Hrgovic to Homer Simpson, others rambling crying about how Hrgovic only won a couple rounds and then won the fight, like that matters for some reason, especially in this sport. The fact of the matter is he took Moses into deep waters, which is where he needed to take him to win the fight. I just read last night that Moses has never sparred 12 rounds consecutively in his life. How do you allow your fighter that has never sparred 12 rounds in a row when you know they’re going to fight 12 rounders in this sport? Some of the takes last night I read on this website were horrifically bad. Also, the same people who said Moses needed to step up even quicker than he has, well, he did and he lost in his 15th pro fight at 21 years old to a guy he probably shouldn’t have been fighting yet. If I was his matchmaker, he wouldn’t have touched that fight last night.

Abel Sanchez spoke on how this was the strategy. Much like the Russians leading Napoleon deep and letting the Russian winter due the fighting for them. All hail General Sanchez!

Should have steered him like Wilder, 39 journeyman before he fought the top 15 guys.

Nah, every fighter gets tossed to the wolves eventually. No need carrying him any longer than he needed. He’s stepped up and found his level, perhaps he can rebuild, maybe he won’t. It’s just prolonging the inevitable, I couldn’t see a young green Joshua or Fury losing to that Croatian guy last night tbh.

Dubois had his loss to Joyce, but he took a ton of punishment. The durability signs aren’t looking good.

The article I read said Moses himself said he’s never spared 12 rounds in a row. So unless that article was a lie, because the article said it came straight from him. I read it last night, I read multiple articles, but the one I read I think was from the BBC.

Hrgovic is an elite HW with generational qualities. Itauma has flaws but he would have blown most of the division over had they been in Hrgovics place. Filip is not getting the credit he deserves.

The amount of disrespect on Hegovic going into the fight was monumental.

And Gassiev was at his best under Sanchez as well.

Filip is hungrier and has the chips on his table now holding a major belt. Dubois/Wardley, Kabayel, Gassiev etc are going to have their work cut out for them against him.

I'm a Hrgovic skeptic and I am very happy for the man. Part of that is that I am a bigger Moses skeptic, but I am genuinely happy that he is fulfilling his potential. I hope that at 34 he has some time to beat Sanchez and unify with Dubois.

I wondered about his gas tank after the Franklin fight, where he stated that the pace was too quick in the 2nd round maybe?

I never really had a dog in the game with this fight as I just can't take to Itauma, he seems just too laxidazical about the whole game and has things to easy up to last night abd El Animal fought the perfect fight and deserves everything he has coming to him: hopefully a DDD unification!
