The first time I watched Oscar De La Hoya vs Ike Quartey I scored it to Ike Quartey by a point or two. I watched it last week again, though I didn't score the fight I got the feeling it could have went either way, so not really a robbery.
No because of all 12 rounds... i have watched that fight a couple of times. Ike was too inactive at times
Beat Ike, beat Shane the second time, beat tito, lost to Felix, beat Pea. Simples. I want to put my ***** in you Katie.
I had the fight even between Oscar & Ike going into the 12th & Oscar pulled it out. Case can be made for either fighter winning with Oscar & Pernell. He definately won 7-5 rds in Mosley rematch & lost without doubt to Sturm but got the nod so he could fight Hopkins.
Oh and he got blatantly ripped off against Tito. You don't win 8 out of 12 rds & lose a decision without hitting the canvas.
Oscar has some weird fights, but the lost all his biggest fights argument is bull****. its like this: - decision vs pea could have gone either way - decision vs quartey could have gone either way - beat trinidad - lost to sturm -beat mosley 2, could argue for a draw - lost to floyd imo, he beat whitaker and mosley and lost to quartey.
Love how haters think he really lost the fights most people think he won and also lost the fights that he won that were close. LOL You gotta be ******ed to not think Oscar won that quartey fight. Gee, he outlanded Quartey, knocked him on his ass more, and dominated the most important rounds of the fight. Yea it was as close as you can be but Oscar pulled out all the stops and one of his greatest come from behind fights.
He can blame himself for throwing away 2 rounds, but he can blame don king and the judges for all the other rounds not won where Tito did fuk all but get a busted nose and shut eye
