After his loss to Oscar quartey started crumbling. He wasn't the same guy when he fought Vargas later. Prime Quartey beats Vargas IMO.

Mosley did land the harder punches and even buzzed DLH on two occassions.

Tito was WW champion from 93-99.
Quartey was WW champion from 94-99
Whitaker was WW champion from 93-97
Oscar was WW champion from 97-99

Oscar beat all three in his 2 years at WW.

There is no reason why Tito, Quartey, and Whitaker didn't fight each other as they all reigned as titlist at the same time for many years...Oscar came in and cleaned house...

    Interesting.

He buzzed Oscar once in the first 2 rounds but Oscar wasn't hurt by any means. Just took a hard punch and kept coming. Oscar outlanded Mosley by over 100 punches and rocked Mosley a few times. I had Oscar winning that fight by 3-4 rounds and most experts had him winning also.

    Steroids.

Mosley also only landed two two or three big shots...Maybe two in round 1, and one in round 9.

Oscar outboxed him...Set the tempo of the fight with ring generalship, outlanded his, even knocked Mosley's mouth peice out of his mouth.

Jack Mosley told Shane he needed a KO to win.

Stupid. We're talking about the oscar from the 90s early 2000s, not the ghost of a man that chose the toughest fight out there.

LOL @ everybody who thinks the Sturm-fight was close.
It was one of the biggest robberies of all time.

I felt that De La Hoya was certainly the deserved winner again Quartey, that 12th round won it for him. He schooled Trinidad, and he beat Mosley the second time.

He definitely should have lost to Sturm, and the Whitaker fight was bloody close, either way the decision would have been controversial.

Last time I check DLH record states he lost to Tito whether those agree with it or not:lol: If he clean the house no one will be talking about his marathon against Tito and never willing to step in the ring again with Trinidad, but rather pursue his music career:huh Some believe the Whitaker and Quartey fight were very close so how is that cleaning the house? Also DLH continue fighting at WW until 2001, meaning he fought at WW for four years not 2 years that you mention. Tito in the other hand literally clean the WW division, how many title defenses:deal

    Interesting.
