Isal is the biggest joke on ESB! haha Tito broke Whitaker's jaw on their fight and also made him take a knee in the corner late in the fight. What did Oscar do to Pernell? You want to hear something interesting mamon! The fact that Oscar never showed up in NYC the week after their fight to negotiate a second fight. The re-match clause that was agreed up on from the first fight's contract stated the only thing they would do different was going to be switch names, money earned and who would promote the fight.
Wow you really bragging on that Trinidad fight with Whitiker ? The man was in and out of rehab and was done ..In his next fight he threw out his shoulder and retired ..The Whitiker that Tito fought was looooooooooong past his best ..Tito only gets the win over the name not the fighter !
Trinidad wanted a 60/40 cut, that's why there was no rematch. oscar was the bigger draw and almost every boxing expert and fan had Oscar winning their fight, so tito had no business demanding 60-40. That's why that fight didn't happen again.
Whitaker was in much better shape when he fought Oscar and he fought Oscar before Tito. Even Camacho said Oscar was better than Tito.
Beat Quartey by leaving it all in the ring in the final round. Won second Mosley fight by completely outboxing Shane. Beat Tito by outboxing him for almost nine rounds staight. Beat Sturm by putting in more punishing body shots throughout.
I agree with all but the Sturm fight. I'm one of the biggest Oscar fans you will see but I honestly thought he lost the Sturm fight, and of course the Mosley fight the 1st time, although thought he cruised to a relatively comfortable UD the second fight. He was so far out of shape for Sturm and didn't have the power to really hurt him, nor the gas in that poor condition to keep it going past 4-5 rounds. That fight was really irrelevant though considering Oscar shouldn't have been at that weight in the first place.
Agreed, accept I am actually one of the rare guys who had Tito winning against Oscar, 115-113. I also had a draw in the Whitaker fight, but only because of the W.B.C.'s stupid accidental foul point deduction rule. Had it not been for that, Whitaker would have won on my card. I thought Oscar lost by a point to Quartey, 5 points to Sturm and I had Oscar winning the second Mosley fight, 116-113.
Tito didn't do nearly enough, not did Whitaker. Sturm, sure. Quartey, fuk -- not sure how a guy can win when he fights a guy that pulls out all the stops like Oscar did. Quartey was in control after about 8-9 rounds, but momentum started to shift and Oscar started taking control. Had him down 1 point going into the 12th. No way quartey deserved a win. Not after that 12th round destruction.
