Lots of talk about what Quigg did or didn't do, but did Frampton impress you?

Frampton's first line of defence is footwork which is fine but after that he has nothing. No arm movement or head movement. When he tires his feet become static and he toughs it out.

    1. WRONG: Quigg couldn't apply pressure right from the start as Frampton would have picked him off from the back foot. Also, Quigg's famed fitness doesn't seem to give him the confidence to start fast in big fights, like against Salinas. Even against Martinez he was forced to engage in the 2nd after a chastening 1st round. He won, and won well but it wasn't the game plan, we've seen how Gallagher has mapped out bouts for Scott before: start slow and build into the fight.

    2. YOU WHAT? A comfortable win against a top ranked fighter like Quigg and Frampton's reputation is tarnished? That makes no sense at all.

    3. YOU GOTTA BE JOKING, RIGHT? After the fight Frampton needs Quigg more than Quigg needs Frampton? Are you mad, or are you mental? Who has the belts? Who Has Haman? Who still has the big fat zero on his record?

Your post just sounds like the ramblings of a bitter Quigg fan. I like Quigg and hope he picks up another world title. But you sir, you talk bollox.

He did what he had to do to win. Frampton must have thought, if Quigg was gonna hand him rounds on a plate by not being talented enough to move his feet with Frampton's, he would happily win rounds with a few well-timed jabs. Easy work for seven rounds. Basically, a gulf in class.

First half of the fight was pretty much an non event, Frampton winning most if not all the first seven rounds. The entertainment value was pretty much zero, the uppercut that broke Quiggs jaw was a beauty.

I've watched the second half of the fight a few times now and the more I see it the more happy I get with Framptons performance.

He mixed it when he had to, stood up to some heavy shots, proved his chin is legit and came out in the 12th after Quigg had his best round and closed the show with some great boxing.

The Quigg rounds were he came back into it were actually close competitive rounds and good to watch, Sky's commentators were extremely bias and barely mentioned the good work Frampton was doing, hit Quigg a cracking body punch in either 10 or 11 that went unnoticed.

Don't get me wrong Quigg deserved to win those rounds but they were far from one sided.

Credit to the Bury man and I'll be looking forward to his return to the ring.

    Frampton looked drained imo

Though he clearly won the fight. Gave Quigg 3 rounds.

Frampton showed in the 12th that he could outbox an aggresive Quigg.

The right thing to do now by Frampton is fight Rio.

If he's too give up a belt he should give up the IBF as a fight against Wake is weak. But the wee man won't allow this.

    Nope Frampy didn't impress.
Shows that you don't have to be impressive to beat Quigg :p
