    LW Bout

    15 rounds

Let´s not forget how tough Ambers was against an offensive machine like Armstrong......

He was tough, yes, but I also thought he was decisively outfought in their 2nd fight and lucky to get the decision.

I think Armstrong was better than Chavez, but I still think Ambers' lack of real power would be his undoing here as well.

A good competitive fight, but Chavez is a little too polished on the defensive side, which will see him take less than he gives against Lou.

I think Ambers is underrated. I thought his win over Armstrong was fair enough
I'd make him a slight favorite to beat Chavez. Both are exceptional great fighters at the weight though

Lou ambers was the most skilled infighter ever at LW. I think that in a 15 round bout Ambers [impossible to ko] though not a heavy puncher eekes out a decision over Chavez,a great fighter in his own right...

Chavez is a better all-around fighter but Ambers could still find a victory in his kind of fight, imo. 1/3 in a trilogy, maybe?

People saying Chavez was a better fighter, but he never proved it against fighters as great as the great lightweights Ambers faced.
Armstrong and Canzoneri being foremost among them. Ambers was on a par with those guys.
Chavez was better than Edwin Rosario and JL Ramirez but I'd put those two a couple of notches behind the likes of Canzoneri, Armstrong and Ambers.
