Never seen Lou so rattled seemly over nothing. Eddie really has been rattling that cage. Maybe he's frustrated with the inactivity or decisions his co managers....too many cooks spoil the broth kinda thing. Just a side issue but i distinctly remember Carl Froch around the time of the Super Six or just after explaining how he had agreed a fight with Lou over text message.
To be fair to DiBella, he is probably the last person in the World who wants to see Joshua - Wilder. He doesn't have a contract with Wilder, he won't see any money from the fight. It's in his best interest for Wilder to fight Breazeale next, and follow it up with the likes of Martin, Kowmacki and whoever else Haymon can sign to PBC.
Everything we already knew to be honest, AJ and Matchroom chasing down the 5th belt, Team Wilder looking for easy defences of the WBC belt. Wilder probably wants the fight, but his team has zero faith in him actually winning it that they would rather him just hold onto the belt instead and feed some of their other heavyweights too him.
Here's hoping for a Breazeale victory over Wilder..... Sounds like our best option of a Undisputed HW. Imagine if Breazeale did KO Wilder, Hearn would troll Wilder imo.... "Hey Dom, there's a 50/50 deal with AJ on the table, come and sign it son".
I'm usually skeptical about second-hand comments on here, many of which tend to exaggerate minor statements that people make, or read into things that aren't there. But everything people have said about this vid is true. Good God, DiBella is either completely out of the loop, or this is one of the most blatant ducks in recent memory. Just so, so many comments that simply cannot be taken any other way, from the "it's not our job to be chasing the fight," to "the fight will happen when both sides want it." How the hell can anyone shoot themselves in the foot so many times? If there was any doubt before as to Wilder team's intentions it's been blown out of the water now. I honestly want to feel a little bit bad for Wilder that he's aligned himself with these fools. Then I think of how he'll crawl out of his hole and start calling Joshua out once he signs to fight his mandatory, and I think screw that guy too.
I actually had a dream that Wilder knocked Breazeale down then started jumping up and down like a maniac, thinking he'd already got the victory, only to slip and sprain his ankle. Breazeale got to his feet, and because Wilder was unfit to continue was ruled the victor. Suleiman then stepped in and personally ruled the fight a no contest, and a brawl broke out, forcing Suleiman and the Wilder team to flee the arena. I can only pray that that dream was a prophecy.
He will KO Breazeale. Breazeale's comments about Wilder's power made me laugh, trying to degrade it because he's 'not fought a guy as big as me'..... Whilst that is partly true, the fact Breazeale has been knocked down and badly hurt by 'Dwarf Heavyweights' makes his point irrelevant.
Yes, he probably will. Breazeale is incredibly slow and easy to hit, and while he has a good chin and good recovery powers they're not good enough to make up for his deficiencies in other areas at the top level. Once can only hope though...
I'd much rather see Whyte against Wilder. He has the ability to get under Wilder's skin and he is a proper fighter, who would be willing to trade with Wilder.
Eh? Breazeale always comes to fight as well. It's what got him the wins against Mansour and Ugonoh. I agree that Whyte would get under Wilder's skin more. Plus he's a good bit faster and sharper than Breazeale, while lacking Dom's ponderous strength. Slightly greater chance of an upset there, though that's slim as well.
