    I think these two are Very evenly matched. Could go either way.

    I know one thing, Norton never would beat Max Baer.

    For that reason, I will pick Nova.

    Nova doesn't have the firepower to upset Nortons rythem. Norton stops him IMO

    He was the only one (other than Louis) to legitimately KD Baer. His power is underrated if anything.

    Not really. Baer was washed up, had already taken a beaten, and was dead tired when Nova finally put him down.

    Plenty could outbox Baer, hell Primo was outboxing Baer for periods of their fight. There's a long way between being able to outbox him, and actually beating him.

    Still nobody other than Louis did that to him. These 2 fights also show his durability, he had many open exchanges with still dangerous Baer (though Maxie still was able to KD him, he just didn't have enough in himself to finish the job).

    It was an old Baer if not mistaken. Either way I'm not high on Baer either. He looks like a glorified street fighter most of the time. I'll stick with Norton

    Street fighters wouldn't beat so many good contenders and certainly not Max Schmeling who was better than Norton himself (or Nova for that matter).

    Most of the time...dont take what I said out of context....yes Baer looked good against Schmeling. Easily his best performance. Did he ever look that good again. No he did not. I would take Schmeling in a rematch for what that's worth.
    What does Schmeling have to do with Norton here? Its Norton vs Nova and I got Norton if you dont like it tough move on. As far as the others start a new thread.
