Anyone know anything about him? He wasn't a very active fighter, but fought a few big names in his short career. Was blasted out of there in two by Hagler (Through the ropes, too) but beat Griffith.
Hamani was an Algerian fighter who made ink in the boxing magazines in the late '70s. He was just inside or just outside of everyone's top 10 ratings. Hamani was a fluid, skilled technical boxer without much of a punch. He had fast hands. In addition to beating Emile Griffith, Hamani made headlines by defeating highly ranked David Love and Rudy Robles.
He looked to be in extremely good physical shape in the Hagler fight as well. His build was compared favorably with Hagler's.
