I know, so close. Would have been good to see Graham win a title.

It would have been fantastic mate, and i really didn't give him a chance against JJ and was absolutely screaming at the telly when he was doing a number on him, i was gutted when he got sparked, but hey what a finish from the hawk.

Same here, pal. When it's a fight like that and he's probably mins away from winning!
But yep, it's Julian Jackson, the man has freakish power.

I’m not a fan of the fight but Vitali copping one on the chin from Lennox. Full leveraged uppercut, flush. Vitali reacted the way an anvil does when a smith hits it with a hammer, he made some interesting noise but was totally sturdy.

Would’ve been brilliant. He had a bit of bad luck, Hagler saw dollar signs and left him behind, Herol could’ve beat that Hagler. Got matched tough against McCallum who I thought he beat and Sumbu and then there was Julian.

Remember watching it at the time and knowing that Graham was well on top at the time of the knockout.
However I only watched it again for the second time a year or so ago on You Tube and hadn’t realised how much of an actual schooling Herol was giving the Hawk!
The term equaliser was made for Jackson!

not a knockdown or knockout but I always like listening to Frazier's body shots on Ali in FOTC and thrilla, some of Ali's jabs actually sound crazy too, Tyson Holyfield 1 also has some nice sounding exchanges

it sucks that the audience is so loud when Frazier lands the lelft hook in 15

In noway does it come through on film given the crowd noise and commentary but it was reported the left hookercut Michael Spinks took out Marvin Johnson with sounded like a shotgun blast.

I was in the arena for this one (1:02) when GGG broke two of Macklin's ribs. It was much louder live than on video. It sounded like a rifle went off.

All great submissions but this one? My god, what a literal cracker, the type you feel yourself just from seeing and hearing it. # 1 for me so far.

Perhaps due to better audio tech and pick up but when Tyson hit the scene, his punches sounded different to the rest - harder and scarier, major glove compression.

One example, the punch that put Holmes down for the first time during their bout. I’ve always thought that it left a slight indentation, albeit temporary, in Larry’s left temple, visible when he arises. Then again, I haven’t really studied the “before” photos of Larry’s head.

Remember the old Jacobs/Clayton Fights of the Century? The dubbed in sound for every punch sounded like a baseball bat hitting a heavy bag.

It seemed like all the old timers could punch like King Kong and had cast iron chins.

Anyway, here’s Mikey Mike cracking poor Old Larry:-
