Who fought more punchers between these 3 heavyweights. During their Careers all these men fought some top punchers in their division more so than a lot of other ATG champions at Heavyweight.

Lewis easily. Tyson, Bruno, Tua, Morrison, Briggs, Vitali, Ruddock, Golota... really hard to top that.

I am inclined to say Lewis, because he fought in an era of punchers where there were verry few technicians.

Louis has a good case though:

    Al Delaney

    King Levinsky

    Max Baer

    Charlie Retzlaff

    Max Schmeling

    Tony Gallento

    Abe Simon

    Buddy Baer

    Lou Nova

    Tami Maurellio

    Joe Walcott

    Rocky Marciano

    As does Ali:

    LaMar Clark

    Archie Moore

    Henry Cooper

    Sonny Liston

    Floyd Patterson

    Cleavland Williams

    Jerry Quarry

    Oscar Bonavena

    Joe Frazier

    Mac Foster

    Ken Norton

    George Foreman

    Ron Lyle

    Earnie Shavers

    Lewis for modern-sized Heavyweight punchers.

Modern sized = trained for muscle mass rather than stamina.

We should not give Lewis too much credit for taking the blows of these big fighters, who relied on their power, and lacked imagination beyond that!

So, what we'll be calling on is good ol' fashion blunt force trauma. Horsepower. Heavy-duty, cast-iron, piledriving punches that will have to hurt so much they'll rattle his ancestors. Every time you hit him with a shot, it's gotta feel like he tried kissing the express train. Yeah! Let's start building some hurtin' bombs!

An ounce of delivery technique is worth more than a pound of power.

To quote an old Sammy Hagar song, this is all just mental masturbation.

In that case, it's a good thing the biggest punchers Lewis fought had several stones of additional power.

Most of Louis's opponents would be fighting at the 175lb limit today.

    Lewis.

Even the decent punchers Lewis fought would be good punchers in Alis day and monstrous punchers in Louis' day.

Unlike Louis with such great technicians as Baer, Galento, Simon, Levinsky and Maurelio.
