And this forum is fantastic when it is an intellectually challenging boxing forum and not a circle jerk of back patting, aggrandizing and mythologizing whose members prance about proclaiming themselves the guardians of boxing's canonical past.

 

You think SQ is a child living at home but believe BB is actually an 80+ year old man who sits at home posting on internet forums all day?

I keep waiting for the day "BB" kills off his alternate identity and begins reposting as someone else so all of his made up stories can go bye bye.

 

It's easy to smear a man when he is dead and cannot defend himself.
Its also rather cowardly imo.

I just spent a week with a guy who trained many of our troops in Helmand ect, he is a 15 year ,twice wounded veteran ,with 11 tours in different trouble spots under his belt .

He never mentioned it, I got the heads up from a mutual friend.

People that blow their own trumpets are not accorded much slack in the UK.

Dont let it bother you Burt. its real easy for some to act bad ass behind a keyboard or discreadit dead HW champions when they most lilely never had a seriouse fight or even a good spar in there life.

A shame that the thread has been somewhat hijacked and used as a platform to knock Dempsey...couldn't this thread just have concentrated on the positive nostalgia and feel good factor of the clip shown at the start and left character assasinations to a more relevant thread?

I will say I am surprised that a man like you owns a business when you have shown the incapability of keeping an open mind when it comes to certain fighters. I hope you don't handle your business with that attitude.
