How did he twist the truth?

He said Louis was an immaculate fighter, True.
He said Louis was dropped by Galento and Braddock, True.

    Any lies?

Louis wouldn`t have been the favoutite against Ali because of Ali`s popularity in the 70`s, specifically after he beat Foreman, I don`t think Louis could have outdone Ali`s performance v Foreman.

Foreman came back after taking Lyle`s punches, Louis couldn`t take Schmeling`s power and Max didn`t hit as hard as Lyle. Foreman would have had too much strength for Louis on the inside and would have pushed him to the outside easily like he did withn the lighter Frazier then he could keep Louis at long range by posting his arms and bomb away.

Nothing speaks more of being "wide open" than allowing a total ham-and-egger like Galento to flatten you.

As much as I love Louis, he had holes in his game.

I think as highly of Louis as anybody, and I agree with this!

Can you point out the truth twisting in his post for us.Personally a can't see any.

Foreman went down from exhaustion in both those bouts there wasn't even a count in the Young fight.

    Come on now.

Louis was lineal champion for longer than Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister.

Louis fought 31 opponents currently ranked in the top ten.

Despite that, he was never stopped between the Schmeling fight, and the Marciano fight.

Clearly he either had a very good defense, or a very good chin, or more likely both in some measure.

No fighter has ever been dominant, because they lived in an era where there was a Jimmy Young, but fortunately no Foreman!

Louis got nailed and reacted badly against some pretty mediocre fighters. He was not perfect.

No he wasn't, and quite a few of his defences were against scrubs, and that isn't a knock against him he fought every one around.
But let's be real here, most champs would make successful defences against the likes of
    Burman
    Musto
    Dorazio
    Roper
    Paychek
    Thomas
    McCoy

Nobody is perfect, but then not many fighters are eager to fight top ten opposition, on a semi regular basis!

Just imagine if Fury, Wilder, Joshua, or Ruiz, decided to fight two people ranked in the top ten every year, until somebody beat them?

How long would any of them have lasted realistically?

How many of them would have got nailed by pretty mediocre fighters?

    Clue, they all have been!
