I pick Marciano to beat Frazier based on his two handed power, that doesn't ignore the fact that Marciano was a grinder'
He wore Layne down with a body attack, he stopped Lastarza on his feet, rescued by the referee when he was a sitting duck absorbing punch after punch. He wore down a 38years old Walcott to the point where he was going to the ropes to snatch a rest for his legs, he ground down Moore and Charles, stopped Cokkel via the ref's intervention, and Walcott decided not to get up in the rematch imo.
Neither Charles or Lastarza had great chins,Lastarza had been floored by lhvy journeyman Rocky a couple of fights previously, and he was a sitting duck when the ref rescued him still on his feet.

Well you're currently leading the charge for the "Rockista's "at present.WTF it's not illegal if you want to hero worship someone.

Lol I know when I'm hero worshipping Marciano and when I'm not. While I consider him a freak of nature in punch power, I still reconsider the more dumb **** I believe, such as how up until semi recently I believed that Marciano hit harder than Sonny Liston. However, I fixed that.

I even made fun of my "hero worship" in the beginning of this thread

Who else would you consider in the "Rockista's" of this forum? Rez? Rockyjim? Gazelle punch? I've dealt with some stupid Marciano fanboys before who only knew how to scream "49-0" before, but the people of this forum are tame and educated in comparison to G+ and YouTube's boxing discussion

Not interested in doing the point by point on all this butthurt bull****, but again, Shkor beat three top ten contenders in his career and was ranked in the top ten himself in '47. So no, not a clubfighter. Fringe contender. Comparable to a Ray Austin in modern parlance.

Lastarza and Layne were fine contenders. Vingo was a highly regarded regional prospect after his win over Modzele and a very appropriate fight for that stage in Marciano's career.

Walcott was the champion, Moore the LHW champion, Charles coming off of a win over highly regarded Satterfield, and Louis on an 8 fight win streak with some big names. So no, none of them were exactly done, and in fact, they beat the "strapping young" heavyweights of their time, BECAUSE THEY WERE GREAT.

Greats rarely co-exist in their primes, an it is the nature of boxing that the young lions beat the old champs. Some guys like Sonny Liston never beat a first tier great at all. Other, like Jack Johnson, won the belt and used it to insulate themselves against the guys who could give them a good fight. Marciano fought the guys in front of him, and no, you are not going to reverse that legacy, no matter how bitter you are.

49-0 wins over 4 ATGs in six fights, and an 88% KO record. Learn to love it, because THAT is the reality, and no amount of angst is going to change that.

Frazier must be considered superior to Marciano. His top win is the greatest in the division's history and league's better than anything Marciano produced, and he was one of the two best fighters in the division for 7 or 8 years... Or for as long as Marciano's career

We arent talking about greatness, we're talking about who would win in a fight. Also if you want to be technical, Marciano wasnt destroyed by george foreman twice in the early rounds. Ali was past his prime anyways.

We could also say that Marciano was more dominant, and that Marciano had more fights.

No, you will post some angry diatribe and claim that you ripped it to pieces, when really you will just reveal how bitter you are about...well..whatever it is.

Good luck to you. You are the only guy that I have ever seen that posts quotes of a guys opponents speaking with deep admiration and think that you have made a point against him. Whatever. Say whatever you want, and, at the end of the day, Marciano's predecessors, contemporaries and successors all spoke with admiration, even awe, about him, and anyone can find the evidence of it. Hell, you posted some of it yourself.

    Good job.

I have the luxury of going to bed and getting up when I like, and its been that way since I retired13 years ago.
You seem to have a problem with age, you've mentioned it a couple of times ,along with words like dementia,or in your case "dimentia".It must be galling getting your ass kicked by an "ignorant" oldie who has "dementia".
