If Joe Louis had not met Blackburn would he have been as great i know that when Blackburn first saw Louis in sparring he said he was just a ''puncher'' hoping to get that one punch home, and didn't have any boxing skill really, he said one morning he hid and waited for Louis to walk in the gym and when he did he ran at him with a brick in each hand and swung at Louis, Louis moved away from it and then Blackburn said see when you miss with one hand you still have another to hit him with or something to that effect. And obviously the left hook with the right hand tied behind the back and all of the other things Louis was taught by Blackburn, when i read all this i thought without Blackburn would Louis be ranked as the best or definatley in the top 3 heavyweights and have 25 title defences and an 11 year and 8 month or something rein?
