Yep. I'm glad he's coming back but will also be amused because of the haters complaining even more than usual when he gets back in the ring!:yep
I dont mind him coming back but this time i hope he doesn't make any excuses fighting cotto-mosley-p.will. I know pacman-mayweather is the biggest fight but i hope he doesn't turn down a mosley-cotto or a pwill showdown. Yea i wanna see him back but i also wanna see him fight the best available opponents at his weight class.
Let Floyd fight Vitali next, or Vlad, I'm sure the haters would claim he would win by first round knockout.
Love or hate him, I think everyone has respect for Floyd Mayweather, but to say that everyone wants to see Floyd back in the ring is a stretch. He is a very entertaining fighter when he's fighting B level competition, but I haven't been a fan of his style since his jump up to 147. He used to whip his opponents in the center of the ring at 130, 135, and even at 140. He was a joy to watch in those divisions. He had to keep me awake during the Baldomir and the DLH fights. The only thing that made the Judah fight exciting was the scuffle between Roger and Yoel. What made matters worse, in my opinion, was that it seemed as his performances got less exciting, the more trash he would talk. I actually used to be a fan of Floyd until he started acting like a classless punk and didn't back it up in the ring.
:good:goodyup i've seen couple of mayweather's fight before he moved up to welterweight. His fight with manfredy was pretty good stopping him in 2 rounds. He completely destroyed gatti @ 140 then after that he just got boring. I agree he talk too much and didn't back it up. The judah fight was good the 1st 4 rounds then mayweather decided to box and run and win a boring decision. Baldomir has really nothing to offer mayweather. He had like 13 KO in 44 wins so he doesn't even present a threat. Delahoya-mayweather-fight to save boxing didn't live up to the expectation. Hatton actually gave him the hardest fight in a while.
The only way i want him to come back, is to get KTFO! and go bankrupted!the last thing would probably kill the guy
Nice try,but you dont define what makes the rest of us Boxing fans. Many of us dont give a **** about him returning, and dont give a **** about your rulebook as to what makes a fan. Ive been following the sport for 30+ years;you dont decide if im a fan or not.I do.
I too want Floyd back, he has some cross-over recognition - was well marketed over the last 18 months of his career and is a stand out talent. However, opponent selection is key. Sore hands, ring-rust and encroaching age are all foes Floyd will do well to overcome. Time waits for nobody, not even Floyd.
