Best post of the thread. Who the hell is he to decide what a true boxing fan would want. Im a boxing nut, and I like seeing the best fight the best, we all know thats not floyd. I want him to stay retired.
hmm says... why sir I approve your message 100%.. tired of seeing people judge who is a boxing fan and what not. One person's comeback should not determine if someone's a "true" fan of the sport. There are many types of fans. Let him stay retired if he wants but the drama and antics PBF does..... he needs to cut that old crap out.
Id only want Floyd back for 4 fights, Pac, JMM, Shane or Cotto. Any of those 4 would be cool. If he takes JMM first and gets past him and Pac gets past Hatton, that's a super fight right there.
According to him the only true boxing fans are those that want floyd to come back. **** that, I agree, seeing his whack fights against fighters who clearly are not the best are simply not worth all the annoying middle school antics floyd brings to the game
You're wrong on so many levels its pathetic. I don't consider Pac to be a god. He is simply the best boxer of the decade. Deal with it. Mayweather would, could, should give a boxing lesson to Pac, lets see him do it. Talk is cheap. Lastly, most people think Cotto would beat Pacquiao, does that make Cotto a better fighter? I don't think you're smart enough to understand this, but Pac already looked small against David Diaz. So if someone beats Pac at WelterWeight, its not that big a deal.
Not when his trainer has openly stated they can't make 135 anymore. Its a given that this kid came up from basically nothing, but he has outgrown those divisions, not moved up as willingly as many believe. Right now, he's a 140 pound fighter. He can't make 135 anymore. You know another top P4P fighter who is in the same boat? Floyd Mayweather Jr.
he doesn't want to make 135 anymore, but he did make 130 just 12 months ago, and he did weigh in at 142 for a WW fight. So he can surely make 135 if he really wants to. If Pac can't make 135 anymore, then Pac was severely weight drained when he beat JMM 12 months ago. You can't have it both ways. Its like JMM vs Juan Diaz. JMM outweighed Juan Diaz on fight night, and yet Juan Diaz is considered a big lightweight while JMM is considered a small lightweight. The pounds don't always tell the whole story.
"We had trouble making 135 pounds." -Freddie Roach These aren't my words broseph. I imagine he's kinda like Cotto was at 140. They might be able to make the weight, but not comfortably. And what do you mean I can't have it both ways? What other way is there to have it?
by both ways what i mean is there are two ways: 1) Pac was weight-drained when he beat JMM or 2) Is Pac small at his current weight class you can't have it both ways. Also Roach said "We had trouble making 135lbs" not "We can't make 135lbs anymore" like you said in your first post. thats completely different.
So who are this "Everyone" who want Floyd back. To quote probably the best post on this thread: Out of curosity who are you (Jeff M) to tell us that we are not "true boxing fans"? Just because we are not hugging Floyd's balls like you dosent mean you or anyother so-called "true boxing fans" are better than us.
