Saul's brother Rigoberto was supposed to co-feature in his first title defense against Austin Trout, but apparently that's been delayed until 2011.

Maybe they didn't want Saul's celebration of his KO victory dampened by feeling bad for his brother losing his new belt so quickly.

alvarez should ktfo out of ndou. he is at the stage where he should knock out any shot fighter.

i would like to see him up the ante after this fight and take on angulo.

fair enough if he has a couple of low key stay busy fights, but his next major fight should be vs a live opponent.

I guess its a stay busy fight.

I disagree with having him step up and fight top level WW.
They should feed him journeyman with all sorts of different styles. Find the weaknesses in his game and fix them. He does make a few mistakes yet so they need to get fixed before he can go up to the elite.

N'dou seems to be impossible to knockout. He's given some really dynamite punchers major hell, with Cotto, Witter, Cintron and Phillip N'Dou failing to stop. Even at N'dous advanced age it would be impressive for Canelo to stop him.

    :good

He's very young. He is a good puncher, and very poised, but he still needs to continue to develop as a fighter...

...unfortunately fans are very impatient, and so are promoters....Fernando Vargas is a good example of a young fighter who was too good for his on good.

I hope they ignore the pressure from the fans and bring up Canelo slow.

This is the perfect TV showcase for Alvarez. N'dou's made to order, a warrior who'll keep coming, swinging fiercely 'n wide, but always straight at Alvarez, allowing him to unleash his full arsenal of head 'n body combos.

Because N'dou's made of teak, he'll keep taking those shots until he's stopped in the eighth or ninth round.

It'll be such a convincing TKO, fans will all hop on the Alvarez train.
