It doesn't seem natural either. When you watch HBO or Showtime the stats are shown at key moments where they are helpful and add to the production. While the stats are good they were shown a bit too much like you said but they were also 'forced' into the commentary. Wasn't as bad as when Sky Sports tried punch stats though atsch
Saw this commercial for the first time last night and fell in love.. Much credit to those who put this together [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRfDW4h3tGs&feature=plcp&context=C36520b8UDOEgsToPDskIqud_9K1QIT1iq0miGq4R-"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRfDW4h3tGs&feature=plcp&context=C36520b8UDOEgsToPDskIqud_9K1QIT1iq0miGq4R-[/ame]
And those stats only mean so much anyhow, Shields "outstruck" Yama by 3-1 but those piter-pater strikes really didn't do much, Shields leg kicks barely make contact but count as strikes. Yama's 1 leg kick he had was prob better then all Shields combined but stats don't show that.
I'm glad that they got rid of the riod gladiator. That old intro looked like the beginning of a costume gay porn flick not a legit sporting event. They still need to get rid of that "bring the pain" numetal **** though.
Ufc intro is professional, looks great. I cant help to compare it to wwf renvations as a kid. As for Fight stats they arnt anything too special, scoring bouts has always been through an expert subjective opinion. Ring generalship and affective aggression cant be scored by stats yet are so crucial to judging the better fighter on the day.
Agree, and Rogan does need to increase his meds just a fraction. But I do generally like the guy's input to tell the truth.
