Even though, he fights orthodox. They say he will throw the left hook more often. Wonder how he would do if he fought southpaw.

In one of his early fights Pav switched to south paw, banged the guy's body with a left, stepped back to orthodox, and knocked him out with a 1-2. It was a pretty cool move.

That shouldn't be a issue as long as he doubles up on the ****ing jab.

Hes a lefty? He should be taking advantage of that. I know he wont be a fluid technician anytime soon, but at least he can switch hit. Hes already been exposed hes too one dimensional to be an elite at 168. **** Barkley homeless guy should be training Pavlik Loew took him so far even Arreola brought in Shields. Time to step aside.

I think lefties should stay as southpaws. These defectors always end up falling short at the top level. Oscar, Cotto, Barrera, Pavlik, etc.

Keeping their dominant left foot in the lead makes them some flat footed fighters. It's much harder to "push off" with your weaker foot in the rear.

Those names fell short? I know there are bigger names (Mayweather, Pacquiao), but those you mentioned reached the top of the game as far as I'm concerned. Maybe you've set the bar too high based on bigger names.

Also, if your natural stance is southpaw or orthodox, it does not matter if you're left or right handed. We got plenty of lefties at our gym who simply do not have the mental balance to stand as southpaw, so they fight orthodox.. same goes for my brother. He's a natural righty, but his legs/brain will subconsciously switch to southpaw. Depends on the individual and such cases, if you know what you're doing, can be very advantageous.
