Hi guys just wondering if any of you have suffered from lower back pain or an injury due to boxing training. Mine suddenly went on me when hitting pads as I overstretched when throwing a straight right to someone who didn't have much experience holding pads. After 6 weeks of rest and physio I thought it was better then all of a sudden the sharp pinch in the lower right of my back comes without warning. So frustrating!! If any of you guys have had/got similar injuries can you please tell me treatment etc you have used. Thanks:?
Some nice massage in the area helped me alot. Not so much treatment but more on prevention: 1) strengthen your whole core: not just abs, not just lower back, not just upper back, not just obliques, everything. for that matter strengthen the rest of your body as well. 2) dynamic stretching and certain static stretching of your torso as warm-up before and after working out. 3) Proper diet and rest.
