Nobody wants to watch leprechaun children sized fighters who would still struggle to reach the top rope if they were wearing Ismael Salas' platform boots and who can't punch their way through cobwebs.

If you are talking wrestling, BJJ, or MMA, then I would agree, however they are not the average person either. I was a high level wrestler through college and did MMA for a bit. The number of boxers and wrestlers etc. are a small percentage of society and only getting smaller.

I in general try to respect all athletes an in particular people who do combat sports. It's a long road for anyone to become a world champion and most of those lower weight champs get paid peanuts for their effort and believe they should get paid better and garner much more respect than what society gives them.

At the height of boxing even the top light heavyweight had issues Harold Johnson’s neighbours didn’t believe he was the champ and called him a liar. Heavyweight really is the marquee division. It’s funny most people in AUS assume Lionel Rose, Jeff Fenech etc are middleweights or something and when you inform them otherwise.... “So Danny Green would beat them?”

At one point I would have said the same thing, drawn about the same line (probably at 118), but over the years it kept getting lower like my expectations for life in general.

I still occasionally find a minimumweight or rarely a junior fly who has that weird look like he's got a little dwarfism in him or something, but it's rarer every day. Minimumweight is not the greatest division, but if the fight is good I'll watch it.

I don't really get that excited for weight classes below 126. With that said I still respect them.

People really don’t understand the speed these guys possess. And not only the speed but knowing how to throw a punch.

Lowest weight class I really care about is Lightweight. I do know there are exceptional fighters below that but I just don’t get excited about them.

Anything below 122 is just too small.

Not joking mate I know 14-16 year olds in MMA/BJJ that are above average height and 145-150 pounds and yes I'd bet on them against a boxer smaller/shorter than an average woman.

I highly doubt it is the case.
